Dev Vaghani

Dev Vaghani is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Downstox, a broker-agnostic Indian markets and trading-analytics platform. By day he is a Software Development Engineer at Upstox, where he has built across the Platform, Risk-Management (RMS) and Market-Data teams since 2022 - the same kind of low-latency, high-reliability systems that now power Downstox's institutional-grade tooling for Indian retail investors. Downstox is built and operated independently of his employer.

As the founder of Downstox, Dev sets the editorial direction for coverage of Indian equities, derivatives, and personal finance, and personally signs off on all market-impact analysis and the PRISM geo-political signals engine.

An engineer by training - a B.E. in Information Technology from Gujarat Technological University - and a graduate of the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador programme, Dev's research interests run to machine learning and natural-language processing, particularly transformer architectures and their optimisation. That work feeds directly into the Downstox AI screener and the way the platform turns plain-English questions into real market filters.
