The thesis
Constellation is the lower-risk way to own the nuclear-plus-AI theme. It already runs the biggest fleet of US reactors, so it has real earnings and cash flow today rather than a promise of future reactors.
The new angle is demand: hyperscale data centers want round-the-clock carbon-free power and are willing to sign long contracts for it, including high-profile deals to restart capacity. That can turn an existing, depreciated asset base into premium-priced, long-dated revenue.
How it makes money
Generates and sells electricity from the largest US nuclear fleet plus other clean sources, increasingly via long-term power-purchase agreements with corporate and data-center buyers.
- + Largest US nuclear fleet, producing now
- + Long-dated clean-power deals with technology majors
- + Existing assets re-rated by AI electricity demand
- + Policy support for keeping nuclear online
- - Large-cap, so less explosive upside than developers
- - Power-price and merchant-market exposure
- - Project and restart execution risk
- - Already re-rated on the AI-power narrative
- • New or expanded data-center power agreements
- • Plant restart and uprate milestones
- • Supportive clean-energy policy and credits
- - Wholesale power-price swings
- - Operational or safety incidents at any plant
- - Regulatory and interconnection delays
- - Valuation compression if the AI-power theme cools
How to buy CEG from India
CEG is one of the more liquid US large caps, so it is buyable both through a direct US-stocks account under the LRS and, where offered, via GIFT City UDRs on NSE IX.

The most established, earnings-backed way to play nuclear and AI-driven power demand. Lower risk than the SMR developers, but already widely owned. Not a recommendation.
